Alpaca Overload

After drawing SO many alpacas, I am definitely running out of ideas. I didn't run out of ideas as quickly as I thought I would though. I honestly had the most fun with the painterly style, probably mostly because it allowed me to work in ink, my favorite medium.

My first phase layouts.

Phase one of the project included creating 15 layouts using tape and cut type. The type was all provided and included two different weights and three different sizes. The type had to be located in the upper left corner of which ever grid box it was pasted in. Here are a few of my layouts.

My word was constructed. To create the letters, each member of my group took three and went around campus to find things that created it. We set no boundaries for the picture types. I honestly thought it was going to be very easy, and while I could see letters everywhere I definitely had trouble finding one's that were ascetically pleasing and legible enough to actually distinguish. The circular and curved letters were most definitely more difficult to find.
